New Community Investigation Hub

Wincanton Community Hospital

We are delighted to announce the launch of our new Community Investigation Hub at Wincanton Community Hospital, with a phased rollout beginning at the end of September 2026.

Wincanton Community Hospital

The Hub is being delivered in partnership by all five practices within our Primary Care Network, supporting patients registered with Bruton Surgery, Millbrook Surgery, Milborne Port Surgery, Wincanton Health Centre and Queen Camel Medical Centre.

As part of Somerset’s diagnostic programme, the Community Investigation Hub will bring a range of hospital-requested investigations making it easier and more convenient for patients to access important diagnostic services within their local community.

We will begin by offering secondary care phlebotomy (blood tests requested by hospital specialists), with additional services being introduced over time as the Hub develops.

Services Being Rolled Out Through the Hub Include:

  • Secondary Care Phlebotomy (Hospital-requested blood tests)
  • Electrocardiograms (ECGs)
  • Spirometry (Lung function testing)
  • Fractional Exhaled Nitric Oxide (FeNO) Testing

By bringing these services together in a dedicated community setting, we can continue to provide patients with access to a range of diagnostic investigations closer to home, while working collaboratively across our local practices and healthcare partners.

We look forward to welcoming patients to the new Community Investigation Hub at Wincanton Community Hospital.
